Ceramic Palo Santo Burners by Bettina Chow

Handmade by Arizona artist Bettina Chow, these one-of-a-kind ceramic sculptures serve form as well as function. Each unique piece features a humanoid torso with a different animal head - from classics such as jackals and eagles, to slightly less famous animal heads like ducks, and a french bulldog modeled after the artists' own pup. With an oven-shaped incense holder in the stomach they're designed with palo santo in mind, but will work with other incense so long as it fits inside.

Arizona ceramicist Bettina Chow fell in love with the craft of pottery after years of work in healthcare and leadership in non-profits. Inspired by the natural world, her work is full of organic shapes and textures; expressions of both herself and the collective human experience. Bettina continues to push herself to grow as an artist, dedicated to mastering the intricacies and nuance of pottery - lessons she shares with her students, from whom she learns just as much.
