Valerie Galloway is a Tucson-based photographer and painter who works primarily in ink and watercolor. Born in France, Val lived all over Europe and the US before settling in Tucson and getting her BFA in photography from the University of Arizona. Her work, often fanciful and feminist in its imagery and darkly romantic in tone, is heavily inspired by vintage American television, French cinema, old family photographs and the beauty of the Sonoran desert.
